Wotts Takes You On A Journey With “Blues”

Have you ever wondered if you are on the right path, or if you are doing what you are supposed to be doing, or better still if you are doing as it’s supposed to be done? Well, yeah, I’m sure most of us have asked ourselves this question, and to add a little spice to it Canadian duo Wotts have gathered all our thoughts into a piece of art.

The duo decided to name this piece of art Blues, such a befitting title for a song of this caliber. Wotts is an Ottawa, Canada-based indie pop duo made up of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Jayem and bassist/guitarist Ricky 100.

“Blue” is about finding your way in life, it is the sophomore release off their upcoming EP “Garden”. Blues have this serene feel to it, the duo is mainly known for their 80’s influenced sound but this time they step out of their boundary, and made magic on this record.

With great lyricism, the duo gives their listeners something to take home while giving you the perfect sound for relaxation. Blues was produced by Jayem, “blue” is the second in a trilogy of tracks the band has packed together.

“Spring was a big inspiration on this one. That idea that everything feels new again, almost like a rebirth, really spoke to us. We wanted to create something that reminded us that it’s never too late to find your path”. With a dreamy vibe inspired by fellow Canadians Men I Trust, “blue” definitely brings a light and airy feeling that hits nicely this time of year. With glistening pianos and orchestral strings, there’s also a cinematic quality to the track. “Indie Pop is our genre, but I think we’re having a lot of fun with exploring new sounds and really trying to build an atmosphere with our music”, – explains Ricky 100.

Next time to chance upon something from Wotts be rest assured it is going to be something you would fall in love with.
