What is your real name?
Nichole McCulloch

What’s your official showbiz name?
Sadie Nix

How did you get into music?
I have always been into music since I was little, both writing and singing. The first band I was in when I was around 7, was with my friend, and we called it “Mixed Colors.” We used to dance and sing along to Janet Jackson and En Vouge, but funnily enough, we were never signed to a deal. However, it wasn’t until I was 33 that I picked up the guitar for the first time, and it wasn’t until a few years later that I really started to write again.

Sadie Nix Looking All Sassy On Her Debut Single “Taylor Case” (That Means You) (2)
Sadie Nix Looking All Sassy On Her Debut Single “Taylor Case” (That Means You) (2)

What field or genre are you into, and how would you describe it?
I categorize music into two categories: music that moves and music that does not. and this will be different for everyone. When someone says they don’t like, for example, “country” music, I find it so hard to believe you can write off an entire genre of music. I want music to make me dance, cry, and get excited about going out, and if it does that, then it is good music for me. The great thing is that those feelings are different for everyone, which is the exciting part of the music.

Do you have any role models you admire? Why the reason(s)?
There are so many people out there doing amazing things, but women who are writing, producing, and owning their images really inspire me. Artists like Carly Pearce, Taylor Swift, and Phoebe Bridgers.

They are putting out songs that tell stories that mean something to their fans and themselves. Then looking to the past, women like Dolly Parton, Carole King, Blondie, Pattie Smith, Annie Lenox, and Madonna are examples of women who have paved the way.

What do you look out for in this line of business?
Authenticity is it for me.

What are some of the challenges you face in your career path?
The biggest challenge is having a full-time job in addition to putting out and marketing music. Unfortunately, independent artists have a hard time generating income in this climate, so in order to be able to put out my music, it is essential, at least for now, to be working.

The other thing is that marketing has changed so much. I am terrible at social media, and things like micro-content and Instagram marketing strategies take my time away from creating music.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
I think it has had both a positive and negative impact. On the upside, more people are able to put out amazing music without having to have a deal or afford studio time, and that is amazing.

But about 60,000 songs are added to Spotify every day, making the competition tougher than ever. It has also made music easier to get rid of. The focus is on singles, not albums, short songs to fit TikTok; and the journey of discovering new artists is sometimes more focused on how many social media followers you have than on the quality of the music itself.

Do you have any advice for aspiring songwriters?
Just do it. The biggest thing I have struggled with. I’m still struggling with trying to write a perfect song, not just a song.

If you try to write a hit every time you sit down, you will never write. Write every day, even if it is bad, doesn’t make sense, or you don’t want anyone else to hear it. Perfection is not attainable, and thank God because perfect is boring!!

What is the topic of your current project?
I think this project is a reflection on previous relationships from when I was younger, thinking retrospectively about them with a more mature lens. I won’t lie, it isn’t the happiest of records, but in many ways, it is freeing because, when you are in the middle of these life events where you feel you can’t breathe and you will never surface for air, knowing that it will be ok in the end, allows a different perspective when you are writing.

What are your hobbies?
Funnily enough, I love going to gigs and listening to new artists. I also love sports, both playing and watching!

What do you do aside from this profession?
I run my own business as my full-time job and am a happy mother to three cats.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
“It’s never too late for now.” Sorry for the bad “30 Rock” reference. In all seriousness, the message is sound. I sat on my dream of writing and performing our music for nearly 25 years because I thought I hadn’t earned the right to do it or it was too late for me.

It took a global pandemic to wake me up, which is crazy. I hope that no matter what your dreams or desires in life are, it doesn’t take another global pandemic for you to realize them. Life is far too short to not do what makes you happy.

Know More About Clifford And His Latest Release “Close To Me”

Clifford is a fantastic and brilliant singer, songwriter, and composer from Westminster, Maryland in the United States.

Clifford, a US/UK citizen residing in the United States, has educated himself to speak English, French, Arabic, and rural Maryland twangs, which he integrates into his music to give it that enticing vibe.

Clifford’s “vision” continues with the impending publication “Close to Me.” The production explores dance rhythms, softer bass, and deeper kicks than in prior tracks, combining pop and house music.

I had a heart-to-heart with him, and this is what he said about his profession.

What is your real name?
Clifford Reeves

What’s your official Stage Name (showbiz name)?
Clifford

How did you get into what you do with music?
I was in my first band by 13 where I played the drums and sang. Music and languages seem to go hand in hand so I studied French and Arabic in School. During this time I continued with my music performing at school events.

Due to my fluency languages became other people’s focus on me and I was sought after to do clandestine work. Crazy! Then I injured my Achilles heel and was laid up for 13 months. Unable to do much, I began a Twitch channel.

Other than playing games I sang covers for people. Eventually, I found all my followers tuning in to the music more than the gaming and it became clear music was my future. And here I am.

What field or genre are you into and give a brief description?
I genre blend. My music is a mix of various styles like Indie, Pop, R&B, Synth, Singer/songwriter, Commercial, House, and Classical. As each song’s story evolves I choose the genres most suited to tell that story.

Due to my language studies, cultural influences are also prevalent in my music. I write about social issues and other times I write about love. But mostly I write about whatever truths I feel I need to express.

Know More About Clifford And His Latest Release “Close To Me”
Know More About Clifford And His Latest Release “Close To Me”

What were your first project and the people you worked with and which year?
Thus far I’ve worked alone on my music. I write, produce and perform all of it myself.

I have collaborated with a few people, including a Grammy award winner, but as it was early days in my music career when Covid began, it has been tough for me to expand beyond myself. But hopefully, that’s changing.

How many projects do you have so far?
Countless! Haha! I’m never at a loss when it comes to creative musical projects. As far as the business side I’ve got some exciting prospects brewing.

Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why??
What motivates me are the countless musical possibilities. Once I realized I didn’t have to stick with any one genre the sky opened up to me and I’ve never looked back. As for who, definitely my family.

Any models you look up to? [With reason(s) why]?
I grew up listening to anything from Mozart to Bowie, then from Cash to Eminem in my teens. Once I began learning languages, my music listening expanded to Fairouz, Stromae, Amr Diab, Yo-Yo Ma and so many others.

These amazing artists have created an explosion of music diversity in my head that I can’t help but include in my music arrangements. Other influences include The Temptations, Jerome Brailey, Blind Willie Johnson, Drake, Kool & The Gang, Parliament, and xxxTentacion.

What do you look out for in this business or what do you look out for in this line of business?
I just left Spotify so I guess what I’m looking out for are solid opportunities where I can be creative and enjoy sustainability as well.

Have you won an award, or been nominated for an award? Or in short, any achievement? Both in and out of your career path.
I was inducted into The Phi Beta Kappa Society (ΦΒΚ) which is the oldest academic honour society in the US.

What is your current project about?
I work on several at a time, so as far as the song after “Close to Me”…who knows haha.

What are your hobbies?
I love to cook! Particularly Italian but all types of cuisines. I treat cooking like my music, I use it as a way to challenge myself and explore.

What do you do aside from this profession?
I live on a farm that has its share of responsibilities. Aside from that, I try to stay fit through callisthenics and boxing. I love video games and I dabble in photography.

Restless Modern Preaches On "Old Haunts" Off His Latest EP

Taken off his forthcoming “A Likeness Complicit” EP is “Old Haunts” as Restless Modern intends to convey self-responsibility and an uneasy desire for self.

He talks about how we as people live in a damaged world, and collective self-reflection reveals that we are all culpable in some way.

It’s quite easy to lay the fault on others, but it’s more challenging to look in the mirror and use the same criteria realistically and many things he seeks to address in this song.

Restless brings unique energy into this tune and to make it better is his confidence level and how he conveys his emotions.

Restless Modern is a 25-year-old Wisconsin-based producer, vocalist, and songwriter. Born in Denver, but reared in the Midwest near Chicago.

Restless Modern polished his abilities and built a distinct vision for his artist project over the course of a year by releasing over 30 tracks commercially.

Theo Tams Has His “Tongue Tied” To This New Single

Theo Tams Has His "Tongue Tied" To This New Single
Theo Tams Has His "Tongue Tied" To This New Single

Theo Tams, a singer and composer from Canada, recently released a new single that he calls “Tongue Tied.”

Tams and his boyfriend broke the news to their families that they were engaged, but they were not overjoyed by the news. As a result, Tams and his boyfriend’s family gave birth to this light and airy pop music with R&B overtones.

The exuberance that Theo displays in this song demonstrates that he has it all, particularly in terms of how much control he has over his voice and how much force it carries.

On his recently released extended play (EP), the Canadian singer-songwriter displays a stunning command of R&B-tinged pop music, with his silky voice serving as the unchanging beacon of light.

His composition is still at the forefront of this new pop style, but he is peeling away layers in novel ways. The listener is led through velvety landscapes by his slender voice, while the music drowns the senses with its abundance of intimate lyricism and beauty.

Theo Tams appears to have arrived at his destination in life because he is no longer ashamed to be himself in public. In the meantime, my best wishes go out to him!

Bekim!

How did you get into music?
As a child, I always listened to music. At that time, it was still vinyl records and music cassettes. Then later, CDs.

As a teenager, I mixed cassettes and eventually started writing my lyrics and rapping on them. Shortly thereafter, I bought my first keyboard, a Kawaii, and a short time later, a drum machine from Yamaha. That’s how it all started.

What field or genre are you into, and how would you describe it?
Definitely music production. I love R&B, especially 90s and 00s R&B and a little bit of hip-hop, dance, and even 50s and 60s rockabilly and 80s pop.

What were your first projects, the people you worked with, and which year?
My first project was back in 1989 when I set up my studio. In the beginning, I worked alone. Then my younger brother came along. We taught ourselves everything autodidactically. I’ve always been interested in the production and structure of a song, and that’s how I got into producing.

Bekim! Reveals His Life Story As He Unveils His Latest Single "Close Your Eyes"
Bekim! Reveals His Life Story As He Unveils His Latest Single Close Your Eyes

Who or what inspires or motivates you? And why?
Many producers and musicians inspire me. For example, Dr. Dre for his beats, Hot Chocolate for their melodies, and Boyz II Men for their vocals.

I also love to listen to Lemar, Beverly Knight, Mario, Jodeci, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Puth, to name a few. Apart from music, I love watching series on Netflix.

Any models you look up to? With reason(s), why?
Sure, Dr. Dre, Mike Oldfield, Babyface, and Darkchild

What do you look out for in this line of business?
I want to make my dream come true. Even as a child and teenager, I could predict with great accuracy which song would be a hit. And that’s what I want to do with my songs now. I want as many people as possible to enjoy my music and feel something beautiful about it. I want them to experience the same positive emotions that I felt when I composed it.

What are some of the challenges you face in your career path?
It’s not enough to have good music. Nowadays, you have to be creative to cut through the noise. You are supposed to be online 24/7 and active on social

A musician or producer would only sit in his studio and produce songs in a perfect world. But that’s not the way it is. The promotion side is way more time-consuming than the creative process.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
It’s easier to be successful as a musician these days. In the past, there were always these gatekeepers who, to be honest, in my opinion, didn’t always have a great idea about music.

Today, you can take it into your own hands and market your music. This is a great advantage of the Internet.

Do you have any advice for aspiring songwriters?
Just be yourself. Feel free to do your own thing. Find your sound, even when it doesn’t sound like the stuff in the charts. Stand by your sound.

What is your current project about?
My current project, ‘Bekim!’ is about producing timeless R&B and pop R&B songs. I work with different vocalists from all around the world.

What are your hobbies?
Music. But also sports like football (soccer) and basketball.

What do you do aside from this profession?
I am an interpreter by profession. But I hope that soon I can only concentrate on the music.

What is one message you would give to your fans?
Thank you, because without you, none of this would be possible.

If you hold on to your dream you will eventually make it. Just don’t give up.

Maidin Wishes You Could Have Her “Celestial Body”

New Jersey-born singer, songwriter, musician, and actress, Maidin is here again with her song “Celestial Body”.

Maidin’s melancholy folk-laced indie-pop track “Celestial Body.” Eloquent voices rise over mournful acoustic guitars, bouncing melodies, and silky backgrounds for an engrossing and sweet experience.

Maidin wants to make music that blends the vivid narrative of folk music with a new and current alternative pop sound, taking inspiration from songwriting powerhouses Joni Mitchell and Dolly Parton, as well as experimental pop singers St. Vincent and Sylvan Esso.

Her next books explore adolescent relationships and the universal emotions that come with encountering love, loss, desire, and sadness.

The song is about a love that’s mostly out of reach and a desire to be with someone you can’t have in the end.

The musician, whose name is derived from the Irish Gaelic word for morning, creates dreamy and introspective folk-laced indie pop overlaid with subtle electronic beats that is as heartbreaking as it is captivating.

Maidin has been singing and playing music since she was a small girl. In the first grade, she was enthralled with the violin and begged her mother for music lessons, but she struggled with reading sheet music.

As a result, Maidin developed her own method of learning music, claiming to study sheet music while secretly playing by ear.

Don’t Forget To Breathe When Listening To Mad Nad Bo’s “To Matt”

Don’t Forget To Breathe When Listening To Mad Nad Bo’s “To Matt”
Don’t Forget To Breathe When Listening To Mad Nad Bo’s “To Matt”

After a 4-year break, Mad Nad Bo makes her presence known once again with her new song “To Matt”. “To Matt” is the first of several new tracks to be released in the near future.

The first note she hits throws you into an emotional whirlwind of heartbreak, rage, and sheer despair.

Not only does vocalist Nadine Schwizer’s distinct vocals captivate your attention, but so does Sandro Jordan’s guitar, which expresses just as many emotions.

You can tell that these two don’t merely synchronize in music. In a bluesy and emotive style, Mad Nad Bo’s new song “To Matt” depicts the narrative of an unpleasant sort-of relationship.

It’s a story with no happy ending, as many of us have known. But the song is more than just a narrative about being hurt; it’s also a message of empowerment.

The man who harmed front lady Nad is recognized and shamed – – “not more nor less than he deserves”, Nad adds with a mischievous grin.

“To Matt” is a big “F*** YOU” to the guy who caused her anguish, but also to the agony and sadness itself.

The song depicts the narrative of someone who has been injured but is now better off than before; it’s almost as if you’re suffering through Nad’s pain with her, just to feel better about it all afterward.

Since the release of Mad Nad Bo’s EP “Things Left Unsaid” in late 2017, things have been quiet around the singer and songwriter and her better half in music and in life, Sandro Jordan.

“I’m looking back at four years of work and just life coming in between all things musical”, Nad says. “But that doesn’t mean there were no new stories (or songs!) written during that time. Now it’s time for those to get out there and be told!”, she continues.

Nadine Schwizer, the band’s frontwoman and main songwriter, draws inspiration from her daily life, such as assisting young artists as part of the Swiss music competition “bandXost,” where she works as a project manager.

“My young colleagues and their motivation have made me want to become more active and release new music again, so that’s what I’m doing now!”, says Nad.

Mad Nad Bo is the first band fronted by Nadine Schwizer, alias Nad, a singer-songwriter. She is an old soul, a thinker, and her distinctive voice and heartfelt melodies never fail to stun.

Sandro Jordan on guitar and alternating band members on bass and percussion accompany her vocal melodies.

Sofi Gev Makes A Cover Of Bat For Lashes With “Laura”

American singer cum songwriter, Sofi Gev is here with the cover of Bat For Lashes and she calls it “Laura”.

This cover was inspired by her admiration and admiration for one of the best female musicians of our time, Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes.

She wanted to be authentic to the original while still injecting her own personality into it.  They created the song’s distinctive piano melody on a French Connection analog synth, then added Moog bass, strings, and electric guitar to give character and emotion.

This is certainly one you should pay attention to. It is such a feel-good song!

Hannah Lovelady is an American singer-songwriter and indie pop musician who goes under the moniker Sofi Gev.

Her music, which is influenced by artists such as Birdy, Aurora, Maggie Rogers, Coeur De Pirate, Regina Spektor, Shara Nova of My Brightest Diamond, and Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes, layers introspective, offbeat lyrics and delicate vocals over a dreamy blend of indie pop, electronica, and indie folk.

Her father’s singing Joni Mitchell songs to her as a youngster was her earliest and most lasting musical impact.

Sofi Gev’s songwriting career began when she was a youngster, when she would occupy herself on family road trips by putting up goofy tunes with her younger sister.

She began playing the French horn in middle school band class after taking piano lessons and proceeded to high school.

She cultivated her sense of melody by singing the lyrics of cookbook recipes as her father played acoustic guitar.

If you actually listen to Sofi, you will hear a lady fearlessly, hesitantly, but honestly embracing and confronting life expressed in an intimate yet generic way.
