The name TWO TONNE MACHETE was derived from an interview with Joe Talbot from IDLES who spoke of his desire to ‘cut through apathy and dark times like a Two Tonne Machete’.
Two Tonne machete resonated with the trio’s goals and aspirations, so they hopped onto the train and set off into the punk world. Em, Ro, and Josh are the band members of the feminist punk band.
Blocks is the latest single from the Two Tonne Machete, the song is energetic voicing the frustration and heartbreak we feel when our loved ones take us for granted.
Undeniably being played with, or your emotions being toyed with is one of the worst feelings any individual could ever experience. The band has taken it upon themselves to voice out all those emotions bottled inside.
The guitar riffs say it all, combining elements of Nirvana, Dead Kennedys, Amyl & The Sniffers, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
