Tali Exudes Love Via New SIngle ‘One Of A Kind’

love is my inspiration. it is the channel through which the universe delivers – Tali. According to the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer, she believes love is the ultimate form of communication and it is through this same love that the universe communicates with us.

Since childhood, Tali has been someone who is fascinated by her surroundings and the universe as a whole.

“I find inspiration in all facets of life. I’ve always been a philosophical kid and took an interest in the universe, energy, interactions between people, the human experience, the vast universe, the little things and the space between moment, in colours, architecture, strangers and absolutely everything has a story. i like to write a song when the inspiration hits me.”

Tali has grown to be an inspiration for the music industry and has blended her experiences and interactions with others into songs she writes, this makes her songs relatable and inspiring as well.

Her recent single “One Of A Kind” is an incredible pop song with exceptional lyricism, soulful vocals, and dreamy production making for a beautiful and deeply moving listening experience. Its message of love and commitment shines through its beauty and authenticity, making it a pleasure to listen to.

It is the first acoustic in a series of upcoming versions (there will be a dance version, a sped-up version and another). It is her second single release through an independent label called Ninetone, which is based in Sweden.

More of these was shared in a recent interview with Mister Styx of Musicarenagh where Tali shared more about herself, her new single, and future plans.

What is your stage name
my stage name is Tali

Is there a story behind your stage name?
my full name is Ortal but my family and friends have always called me tali so it stuck!

Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in all facets of life. I’ve always been a philosophical kid and took an interest in the universe, energy, interactions between people, the human experience, the vast universe, the little things and the space between moment, in colours, architecture, strangers and absolutely everything has a story. i like to write a song when the inspiration hits me. i have hundreds of notebooks

What was the role of music in the early years of your life?

ever since i was a toddler i would sing everyday and everywhere i went. my parents enrolled me into theatre and music classes so i could express myself and then ultimately when i was a teenager i started dabbling in production, writing songs and performing. my mom would play an array of artists like leonard cohen, bee gees, whitney houston when i was growing up on our big stereo. i amassed so many CDs and would sit in front of my speakers for hours learning the lyrics to every single song

Are you from a musical or artistic family?

i am really the only one in my family who is musical. everyone in my family has a general affinity for music and loves it but no one is active in the music scene. although my brother played guitar and dj’d when he was a teenager, i am the only one in my family who has pursued it professionally!

Who inspired you to be a part of the music industry?

i was always intrigued and memorized by music. i was naturally inclined towards it. i would sit in front of the tv before school in the mornings and after school watching mtv in awe. i have always had a driving passion to pursue music and that passion has never ceased, it’s a constant for me

How did you learn to sing/write/to play?

i went to musical theatre classes as a kid but was self-taught in songwriting and learning the piano. i played alto saxophone in high school. my brother let me keep his midi keyboard in my adolescence with which i began producing my songs on softwares like ableton, garageband and fruityloops

What was the first concert that you ever went to and who did you see perform?
i don’t remember the very first concert i went to, but one of my first was leonard cohen many years ago. he is a lyrical genius, a musical icon for me. my mom has always loved his music and introduced me to him early on which we bond on a lot. his lyrics have been an inspiration to me.

How could you describe your music?

seductive, nocturnal, intoxicating, hopeless (hopeful) romantic, timeless

Describe your creative process.

i don’t have a specific formula — sometimes the concept of a song will come to me and i’ll start to write the lyrics around the topic, or a verse will come to me first, or i’ll feel a melody or beat and write around it. whatever hits me first has me open my voice memos, fetch my piano and my notebook

What is your main inspiration?

love is my inspiration. it is the channel through which the universe delivers

ACOUSTIC, SINGER, SONGWRITER ,Acoustic, ALTERNATIVE POP, COMMERCIAL POP, CONTEMPORARY POP, CANADIAN BASED, CONTEMPORARY, EASY LISTENING ,FEMALE VOCALS ,LOVE SONG, POP, RELAXING, CLASSIC SOUND, ONE OF A KIND, ONE OF A KIND BY TALI, TALI ONE OF A KIND, NEW MUSIC BY TALI, TALI LATEST SONG

What musician do you admire most and why?

it is tough to choose one — at the top of my head are amy winehouse, leonard cohen, ofra haza, edith piaf — for their lyrics, their touching voices, that they paved a way and revolutionized music in their own respective ways. my music tastes are very eclectic, i like almost every genre and a myriad of artists across them all

Did your style evolve since the beginning of your career?

i would say so. when i make a song i don’t usually think about the genre. i just put together the beat and the lyrics and structure the song based on the vibe i am feeling when i make that song or collaborating with a producer in the studio. lyrically i’ve stayed intricate and have evolved as i’ve grown older and understand the world in a different way

Who do you see as your main competitor?

me today vs. me yesterday

What are your interests outside of music?

i love spinning, i enjoy yoga, cafes, traveling, reading, podcasts, exploring, restaurants, being with friends!

If it wasn’t a music career, what would you be doing?

maybe a spin instructor, a professional food taster or something to do with farm land and agriculture!

What is the biggest problem you have encountered in the journey of music?
learning the ins and outs of the music industry and how things aren’t always as they seem. the veil of illusion between the creative aspect and the business aspect is a learning experience but i am grateful for it.

I wouldn’t call it a problem, but i’d say the #1 most important aspect of pursuing this career is you have to believe in yourself unwaveringly even when circumstances outside of yourself might convince you momentarily of the opposite. rejection is a blessing!

If you could change one thing in the music industry, what would it be?

more focus on mental health! times are always changing so i am not sure i’d change any specific aspects of the industry, i would just say being authentic always. and write music more from the heart and soul and not merely for clout following what every person is doing (note to self!)

Why did you choose this as the title of this project?

one of a kind is self-explanatory, it is one of its kind, dedicated to your one of a kind. it is timeless, just as love is

What are your plans for the coming months?

i plan to release more versions of ‘one of a kind’ in various genres, and following that an EP

Do you have any artistic collaboration plans
i do not have anything currently planned!

What message would you like to give to your fans?
i hope my music provides a valuable contribution to your lovely life; daily, while you drive, while you brush your teeth, fall in love, walk down the aisle or anything in between <3
