Ipe Share Personal Experience In Latest Single – Lapse

Born Luiz Felipe Ramos who performs under the pseudonym Ipe (pronounced “ee-pay), is a musician with a captivating life story that spans different places and musical styles. He grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and fell in love with music when he was very young. He started singing at 7 and learned to play the piano at 11. His passion for music continued to grow as he got older and began writing songs.

When he was 16, he moved to the United States for high school and later attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. Ipe draws great inspiration from an array of artist and different music genres, including Jazz, Soul, Disco from the 70s and 80s, and contemporary R&B. This diverse musical background shaped his unique indie sound.

Ipe’s latest single, “Lapse,” is a song with a personal story. It’s about a time when he was 15 and almost drowned while surfing. The song’s lyrics vividly describe his panic and exhaustion as he struggled in the waves. Musically, “Lapse” is more of a story full of suspense that hooks the listener.

The pulsating instrumental gives the song a new feel, while the lyrics are intriguing and mindboggling Ipe gives his audience something to dance to as well. With heartfelt storytelling and a musical style that continues to evolve, Ipe is an artist to watch.
