The interplay between rootsy classical guitar and chaotic electrics gives “Alone” an eccentric spice characteristic of Mann’s style. Mitching school were we, Elijah? Let’s talk vocals. Silja’s voice—if we’re allowed to blend metaphors for a moment—lends the track an eloquence and quiet strength. It’s as though she’s simultaneously capturing both the vulnerability and power of human emotion. One can hear the sincerity she threads into every note, maintaining a balance of fragility and command. A veritable chanteuse, if I may add.

“Honey…” carries an easy-listening charm that wraps around you like a warm hug on a frosty evening (Icelandic weather reference? Too much?). You got it – it is ‘super catchy relaxing’. The seamless collaboration with musical compatriots Stefán Örn in production and instrumental contributions from Kristófer Nökkvi, Magnus Dagsson and Baldur Kristjánsson elevate this piece further; weaving strands of silky melody into tungsten-strong hooks that stay with you long after the song ends.

Copenhagen-born but surely inspired by Nordic folklore, Rós crafts lyrics with depth seemingly reflective of hidden wisdoms found in ancient sagas (remember when they popularized TV series running off those?). The love story spun in this track envelops us in emotions so pure, they remind us fondly of first kisses or passionately intense breakups.

This tantalizing single serves as an amuse-bouche for what seems to be quite possibly an entrancing upcoming album set to release in 2024. And if you ask me? This reviewer will impatiently wait to dive once more into Silja Rós’ Ice-‘pop’ universe (last ice joke, promise!). Whatever numinous current ran through Studio Bambus during “Honey…”’s creation, may it continuously surge through future recordings. Silver linings never sounded this good.

Remi Charles wasted no time on showcasing his vocal prowess, only a few seconds into the song and he greats you with a soothing voice which later soars higher, his alternating voice draws attention to the lyrics of the song.

Although the lyrics are sober, I like the fact the lyrics are clear and can be heard throughout the song, this elevates the listening pleasure. With a Micheal Jackson typa beat Remi Charles steals the dancefloor with his music-manship.

Remi actually did a good job on choosing the instrumentations for “Successions”, although he has a knack for music making, listening to it you can tell a lot of work was put into the making of this song. from the lyrics to the vocals and production.

“I wanted to write a song that feels like everything you’ve ever wanted is just ‘round the corner,” says Charles.

“Succession” is like killing a bird with two stones, its lyrics are empowering yet you can dance to it, one repetitive phrase in Succession is “RISE”, a call to action for people from all around the globe to be what they are meant to be, even the face of adversities, to keep Rising.

One interesting thing about Succession is how Remi Charles allowed only the instrumentals to play close to the end of the song.

This is definitely something that would hook you till the end of it and make you wanting more of it, the grooves on the song are spectacular, “Succession” spans for 4 minutes and 3 seconds, which is an ample time enjoy a song this calibre, but regardless of the length you find yourself putting it on repeat.

”I got the chance to listen to Sara Möller’s latest album ’How and How’, and it’s with so much joy that I share this album with you guys. Get ready for an amazing journey of soundgasm, something you least expected.

The first song on the album gives a perfect picture of what to expect on the full album, ”It’s a Pity’ features playful guitar riffs that are both soulful and nostalgic not to mention Sara’s mesmerising voice.

’How and How’ has a total of 11 songs with intriguing and dreamy soundscapes which are complemented by Sara Möller’s derisive lyrics, offering a reflection on the phases of life ranging from a wide section of genres from Jazz to Blues, folk and chanson.

The entire album spans 38 minutes and 25 seconds although it’s by far the current standard in modern-day music, but for such an album I think it is short-lived. wWith the type of instruments which come to play during the production of the songs, you can’t help but fall in love with it.

This album weaves through dark jazz and ethereal folk, creating its own twisted cabaret. Sara’s distinct and poignant vocal style creates an interesting ambience between beautiful and slightly disturbed!

The album features some of Sweden’s leading musicians such as Konrad Agnas on drums and percussion, Mauritz Agnas contra, Nils Berg on clarinet, saxophone and flute and Tobias Wiklund on trumpet. Leif Jordansson- well-known musician and composer from the Swedish experimental music scene- on guitar and banjo plays an important role in creating the eclectic and raw sound of the album.

One undeniable fact about the album is the ingenuity and the inability to choose a favourite because as the album progresses you keep getting a new favourite.

Although all the songs are great and really touching i just cannot stop listening to ”You Gotta Live With It” there is something about that song that makes it addictive, from the instrumentations and atop that, the lyricism and the vocals are touching and assuring, I believe a lot of music lovers would fall in love with the entire album.

This is my first time listening to the sounds of Sara Möller but I can tell she really has a knack for making good music, you can tell she paid detailed attention to the production of the 11 songs, from lyricism to the production of the songs.
