‘Tonight’ By Candid Is The New Wave

Marquee Records’ signing Candid is one the best decisions any record label can make considering the magic the 5-piece brings on every song, and here is why;

Comprising of brothers (vocalist/guitarist) Rob Latimer and lead guitarist Dan Latimer, bassist Sam Baines, drums Alex Bonsor and keyboards Max Fisher, CANDID is an indie rock/pop outfit that originates from Coventry.

The band as a whole is extremely proud of its Coventry origins, but brothers Rob and Dan can also claim ‘Scouse’ DNA due to their local family roots.

Tonight is a typical example of why the 5-piece are way ahead of their league, ‘Tonight’ is an energetic, upbeat song that takes the listener into the night world, the joy and rush that comes with looking forward to the party later that night.

The instrumentation and unique vocals on the song make it impossible for any listener to not catch the fever. The guitar riffs and explosive drums sound magical, undoubtedly the band really did quite a good job on the song and this is evidently displayed throughout the song, as the hooks are catchy and addictive.

Candid continues to make a striking impression live, selling out headline shows locally with over 1000 capacity; along with festival slots including Isle of Wight Festival and Radio 1s Big Weekend.

Indeed candid is worth all the hype considering this is their first song off the record label Marquee Records. Candid is one to look out for, I am sure these guys have some more up their sleeves, and I wait to hear some more from them.
