Are you looking for something to take away all the pain and regrets away? Then this is where I come in, I introduce to you “The Wake” by Gianfranco Pescetti. After taking a break from music production for some time, Gianfranco Pescetti realized he was depriving himself of what really mattered to him – music production.
Having played for several bands as the bass player, Gianfranco Pescetti has gathered enough experience to play solo and this fact is evidently displayed in his previous releases as well as his latest single The Dive.
“In writing “The Wake,” I sought out to create an instrumental piece that explores the theme of melancholy for a time past, death, and new beginnings, particularly in the context of the Covid pandemic. Without lyrics, I found it challenging to convey a specific idea, but the somber and reflective tone of the music reflects the complex emotions that many have experienced during this difficult time.” – Says Gianfranco Pescetti
Although The Dive is an instrumental track the disposition of the instruments gives the listener a feel of artist’s musical prowess, how he makes a song with no vocals carry such powerful emotions needs to be looked into, I mean if just instrumentals can make you get the chills then I can’t imagine what else he can’t do with music.
