ZeeCogency Shakes the Underground with “So Easy”

Sydney electronic artist ZeeCogency has returned with “So Easy,” an instrumental single that moves with the cold, deliberate focus of heavy machinery humming in an underground tunnel. Shaped by over two decades of playing and producing across genres channeling elements of big beat and metal alongside the hazy, low-end foundations of trip-hop and downtempo the independent producer strips away traditional melodic comfort here in favor of pure, hypnotic propulsion.

At the center of “So Easy” is a fast, oscillating arpeggio that pointedly refuses to pivot into familiar chord progressions. Instead, the sequence loops with mechanical discipline, anchored by a deep sub-bass designed to vibrate straight through the chest cavity.

The track thrives on a peculiar duality: it creates a brooding, late-night atmosphere suited for solitary headphone listening, yet carries an insistent, physical groove tuned for a darkened club floor. You find yourself swaying along before you have even decided whether the mood is meditative or faintly predatory.

By leaning into such relentless, futuristic minimalism, ZeeCogency builds a world where momentum replaces resolution. Can a loop ever truly release you once it figures out how to sync directly with your nervous system?
