Karlo Bromsen kicks off his solo journey with “Parlin Papito,” a fun and colorful first single from the Berlin-based songwriter. Known as the voice behind indietronic act Bromsen, Karlo now steps into more personal territory, drawing inspiration straight from his son Willi’s drawings.
The song centers on Papito, a tiny hand-drawn character who pops out of a corked bottle and lands in a strange, playful world full of bees, family chaos and quirky adventures. That sense of imagination carries over into the music, which mixes upbeat indie-pop energy with electronic textures, catchy hooks and a hint of alternative pop.
It all kicks off with the sound of a popping cork before Karlo’s melodic voice takes over. Electric guitar, punchy drums, bass and airy synths build the track into something lively and a little mysterious. By 33 seconds, the groove locks into a catchy rhythm, while a short stripped-back moment at 47 seconds gives the song a breather before the energy comes rushing back.
Recorded on a built-in Mac microphone and produced in Logic, the track keeps its rough edges instead of chasing a polished sound, giving it real handmade charm. “Parlin Papito” ends up being a warm, playful mix of music, family and storytelling that’s easy to enjoy and hard to forget.
