TAYLOR SWIFT FULFILLED A DYING FAN’S WISH WITH A 29-MINUTE FACETIME CHAT
TAY CONTINUES MAKING FANS’ ‘WILDEST DREAMS’ COME TRUE
Meghan Hils, an 18-year-old Swift superfan from Cincinnati, Ohio, is suffering from a heart defect called pulmonary atresia, and became eligible for a wish through the Dream Foundation. After her condition took a turn for the worse, her father, Cincinnati police sergeant Dan Hil, posted on Facebook that Meghan wished for a phone call or video chat with Swift, “but reasoned that she is so popular currently there would be little if any chance of her being reached.” So he took matters into his own hands by sharing Meghan’s story, in the hopes that it would reach Swift.
It worked, and more than 2,500 shares later, Meghan and her fave singer had a FaceTime chat on Thursday (September 8). Meghan later shared a grateful message for Swift, writing, “The words thank you will never be enough to say to Taylor Alison Swift for this day and taking the time to video chat with me for 29 mins. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Meghan and Swift’s chat came on the same day the singer donated $5,000 to the family of a fan who died in a car crash earlier this month. Clearly, she’s focused on being a role model for generosity — and her legions of Swifties couldn’t be prouder
