Ron Addison Shares New Single “Ain’t No Grave”

Ron Addison personifies rhythm and blues, from the long arm of the law to the extended arms of the blues and rock. His soulful and rocking lead vocals are a perfect match for the music.

After a military career as a helicopter pilot and a second job as a Virginia State Trooper, Addison returned to his first passion, music, for the first time in his life. After growing up listening to country music, he began to appreciate the blues and rock & roll as a youngster. Ron sung and performed music while serving in the military, and later, while serving in the State Police, he formed a trio with his brothers.

After he retired, he dedicated himself entirely to music, which he describes as “a labour of love.” His music is both tight and loose in all the appropriate places, and it has a precision and maturity that other musicians only reach after a lifetime of recording. A new CD is now being produced, with the track “Ain’t No Grave” already available for purchase.

With their song, the TomCats will either bring back fond memories or open your eyes to a whole new realm of emotion in music, depending on your preference. This band from Southwest Virginia delivers blues-rock music that will have your feet tapping and your heart bursting with passion.

Lead guitarist Herb Olshin is accompanied by drummer Brian Seiler and bassist Will Dowell on this track. Special guests often participate in the presentations, and a variety of inspirations provide the foundation for the performances, which are a combination of professional musical ability and personality. When it comes to lead singing, Ron is the embodiment of rhythm and blues with his soulful and rocking style.

After growing up listening to country music, he began to appreciate the blues and rock & roll as a youngster. Ron Addison has gone full circle, from the long arm of the law to the extended arms of the blues, and has published his first CD, Testify, which is available now. His music is both tight and loose in all the appropriate places, and it has a precision and maturity that other musicians only reach after a lifetime of recording.

“Testify” is more than simply a strong debut; it’s also a testament to the power of endurance.
