Pre-Wedding Photoshoots Are Unnecessary – Beverly Afaglo
In today’s world, going for a photo shoot before a wedding ceremony has become a big deal and many keep joining the bandwagon.
Whiles others consider it to be a big deal and a nice thing, some also think they are unnecessary and actress Beverly Afaglo thinks so too.
According to her, white weddings these days have become very expensive hence doesn’t see the need for couples to spend too much on them.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix on his Uncut Show, she stated that in recent times, people spend as much as Ghc20,000 on just a wedding which is quite unfortunate.
She went on to disclose she was actually happy she got married 7 years ago and that if it was now, she would have obviously opted for such a thing too.
“It really doesn’t make sense that you make your account go red just after a wedding and you are struggling” she argued.
Expressing her thoughts and opinions on pre-wedding photoshoots, the actress blamed social media for pushing people into this kind of pressure.
“Most times I wonder for people who aren’t celebrities. When you go for the photo shoot, who watches you? How many likes do you get? These are all waste of money. After the wedding, you can take nice photos so we can see and be happy for you” she noted.
She eventually narrated an ordeal where she spoke to one photographer who was supposed to take his balance from a couple he had worked for.
“The photographer worked for a certain couple and charged Ghc3000 and when he met the couple, they were staying in a single room with no car. All the cars they used were rented and it doesn’t make sense” she fumed.
She specifically advised females to desist from the act of trying to have extravagant weddings just to please people.
