A Manchester-based singer-songwriter of British and Nigerian descent, Onyi Moss is known as “Onyi” on stage. By day, she’s a creative who concentrates on powerful visual material which has garnered her several prizes. She debuted her music to the world in 2021.
With inspirations spanning from the likes of Tracy Chapman, Corinne Bailey Rae and Ms Lauryn Hill she takes on an introspective approach with her songwriting. Onyi is a current-day tribute to the lost period of legendary singer-songwriters.
Folktronica-pop cinematic odyssey ‘Lost Sheep’ recalls the golden age of legendary singer-songwriters. It has a contemplative basis which swells into an eruption of powerful percussion and practically ‘takes you to church’.
Onyi Moss returns with her third single, “Confronting the Constant Guilt,” a song about dealing with the guilt that comes with trying to survive in the world after growing up in a regimented environment.
