Money Spent On Voting Is Not Refundable – George Quaye
Charter House, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has finally reacted to issues concerning the money used for voting.
Just after the the board placed an indefinite ban on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, fans of both demand their monies back.
According to them, they wasted their money to vote for their favorite artistes only for these artistes to be stripped off those awards.
But as stated by the PRO of Charter House, those monies are certainly not refundable.
Speaking in an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace Fm, he posited that artistes didn’t win strictly by votes.
Hence, it was out of place if these aggrieved fans are demanding the money they used for voting.
He indicated that, if they are supposed to be punished then they should be really punished.
George Quaye argued that if they aren’t punished, the scheme could even collapsed because there wouldn’t be anyone to support it.
“If we don’t punish them and do what is necessary, even you the voter won’t have the urge to even vote again.” he stated.
He went on to note that, winners are not only determined by the public(votes) but some other stakeholders are involved.
