Modern Day Outlaw Outdoors March Of The Sheep

Ron Brown and Sergio Cesario realized they had a deep connection which gravitated them towards forming a unique band to produce great hits. Fast forward to 2012 and Modern Day Outlaw released their first full-length album “Southern State of Mind” which featured the title track “Southern State of Mind” and “Whiskey” which gave them great recognition.

Gradually the band expanded, welcoming other great musicians onboard for a common course. Modern Day Outlaw is a culmination of Blues, Country & Rock & Roll.

When asked about what motivates them to make music , this is what they had to say;

Our love for music and the ability to deliver meaningful music to the masses was our inspiration.

In a recent interview with Mister Styx of Musicarenagh, the band made some disclosures about what inspires them and what actually goes on during their creative process.

What is your stage name

Modern Day Outlaw

Is there a story behind your stage name?

We wanted a unique name that embellished in what the band was about and were fortunate enough to find Modern Day Outlaw.

Where do you find inspiration?

Inspiration comes in all shapes but mainly form the love of music.

What was the role of music in the early years of your life?

Early on music was not a big factor, but as we grew up and started to get more into rock music, our roles changed.

Are you from a musical or artistic family?

No, not really

Who inspired you to be a part of the music industry?

Our love for music and the ability to deliver meaningful music to the masses was our inspiration.

How did you learn to sing/write/to play?

We learned to write music organically by playing riffs that we liked and putting them together into song structures.

What was the first concert that you ever went to and who did you see perform?

First concert that I attended was Suicidal Tendencies with Marilyn Manson as the opener

How could you describe your music?

I can only describe our music as LynYrd Skynyrd meets Metallica. It’s a love affair

Describe your creative process.

Our creative process comes in phases. Usually it starts with a riff, then a melody, find a chorus and build on that. Overall it takes months to hone our songs down. But worth it in the end.

What is your main inspiration?

To create good quality music for everyone to enjoy.

What musician do you admire most and why?

There is no one musician we admire most, but I would like o think that there are several along the way that created our sound.

Did your style evolve since the beginning of your career?

Most definitely, our playing and writing has changed dramatically over the years. Progressing in songwriting and playing along the way.

Who do you see as your main competitor?

No One

What are your interests outside of music?

Nothing out of the ordinary, fishing, BBQing & having fun with friends.

If it wasn’t a music career, what would you be doing?

Working a job

What is the biggest problem you have encountered in the journey of music?

It costs a lot of money to tour and keep up the good work.

If you could change one thing in the music industry, what would it be?

The gatekeepers that constantly shoo us away.

Why did you choose this as the title of this project?

The name of the upcoming EP “Through the Gates of Hell” which is a take on words regarding the ups and downs of everyday life. Going through it and making it happen.

What are your plans for the coming months?

In reality there are no real plans, but we are open to suggestions.

Do you have any artistic collaboration plans

Later this year as we release our latest EP we will be releasing a track which has backing vocals from fellow Floridian band “They Might be Zombies”
