A man has died after injecting silicone into his genitals as part of a body manipulation fetish.
Jack Chapman, also known as Tank Hafertepen, had posted pictures showing his swollen genitals, a side effect of silicone injections. However, the practice is highly dangerous – and the 28-year-old Australian’s death certificate listed ‘silicone injection syndrome’ as a cause of death.
He also died from lung problems.
He is said to have introduced Mr Chapman to body manipulation, while his mother found a contract apparently detailing the pair’s relationship. Under the contract, Mr Chapman took Mr Hafertepen’s surname, signed over his salary and had to wear a chain around his neck. Paying tribute to Mr Chapman, Mr Hafertepen wrote:
‘If he was my world, I was his sun; he made me feel like the centre of his universe, to say I ‘miss him’ is an understatement. Core to his identity was his service. He lived to help people, and was happiest helping those he loved. ‘I love you, Tank. My best friend, partner, my world… my pup.’
He denied forcing Mr Chapman to inject silicone into his body.
