What do you do (fashion, music, comedy, artist, dancer, etc.)?

I’m a music composer and producer. I create music for various companies and briefs and help artists fulfil their vision. This single comes from a batch of new tracks I’ve decided to release as an artist in my own right.

How did you get into what you do (music, modelling, art, dance, etc.?)

I was an independent musician in a band, writing songs and performing them. I moved to London from my native Tel Aviv, Israel back in 2007 and a year after I was given a lucky break to work as an in-house producer in a commercial studio. It was a great opportunity to learn the secrets of the trade and I’ve been doing it ever since.

What field or genre are you into and give a brief description of what your career/profession/ field feels like?

I guess I’m creating Downtempo Electronica on this EP, although everyone keeps telling me this music is “cinematic” (a word too commonly used these days). I guess I’m creating a lot of music for visual creators and I love a big sound, so even when I try to stay minimalistic, I end up with a lot of elements crammed in together! I do enjoy exploring and I feel like these tracks (EU Democracy and its predecessor, Under Control) fall between genres slightly. Never take the beaten track I say 🙂

Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?

I used to be inspired by indie acts from the 80’s-90’s like The Smiths, New Order and The The, but as I move on and my music takes a path of its own, I am simply being inspired by the freedom of the creative process. I love starting from scratch without really knowing where the music will take me and when it works it’s the best feeling.

What was your first project and the people you worked with and which year?

I had an Indie band back in 2002 – I’m that old! But production wise I started working with various artists back in 2008, and these tracks started taking shape in 2021 during one of the semi-lockdowns we had that year.

How many projects do you have so far?

I’ve released 36 tracks on Spotify prior to the last two singles which marked a new beginning for me. I will release two further singles, and also work on a lofi beats EP which is halfway ready.

How long have you been doing what you do?

How long is too long?… but seriously, since 2002 as an artist and since 2008 as a producer.

What do you look out for in this line of business?

Meeting new people to work with, having my music being used as much as possible, and spreading the message as much as possible.

What is this new release about?

Musically it’s about melding urban chill beats with atmospheric guitars and synths, to create a unique soundscape wrapped in a lofi aesthetic.

The track tries to provoke a thought about the current state of affairs in our world in relation to the war in Ukraine and populism rising in politics.

Who and how many people worked on it?

Only 1, but like no other.

What can your previous and new audiences anticipate from you in the future?

To find the second person in the crowd. Maybe even the fourth 🙂

Young and vibrant man I am, God fearing, warm at heart. Music is bae food is life. If you've seen this then you know me!!!
