How did you get into music?
I was an overnight janitor in the art department at my school while playing college basketball and one day on the way to a game I decided to write a spoken word poem.
What field or genre are you into and how would you describe it?
I consider myself its own genre in all honesty. I do whatever comes naturally when I hear the beat and that varies a lot. I call my genre “IMPACT”
What were your first project and the people you worked with and which year?
The first and only album is called “Pain Paints Paintings” I have artists such as Yelawolf, Snow Tha Product, and many more on it.
Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?
Making a positive impact inspires me and putting something into the world that will last forever.
Any models you look up to? With reason(s) why?
My parents. Their work ethic is just out of this world and it inspires me every day.
What do you look out for in this line of business?
People who take energy instead of giving it.
What are some of the challenges you face in your career path?
My current climate champions facades and microwave success.
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
Allowed an avenue for artists like me to create their own lane while at the same time saturating it and making it harder to grow and maintain real listeners. It’s a double-edged sword.
Do you have any advice for aspiring songwriters?
Get rid of outside influences and don’t fear not knowing what to say. Live boldly and let the words flow from life’s ups and downs. Tell your story.
What is your current project about?
Alcohol Abuse. Dear Alcohol is a song I wrote about the struggle with alcohol that I think can also relate to many other addictions or vices people may deal with.
What are your hobbies?
Working out and basketball.
What do you do aside from this profession?
What is one message you would give to your fans?
F*ck with people who f*ck with you. Speak Life Into Existence
