Jennifer Alvarado Impresses With EP “Songbird: Part One”

Jennifer Alvarado, a magnificent singer and songwriter from Vale, North Carolina, has released her highly anticipated EP, Songbird: Part One, after building enormous anticipation, producing a number one indie smash single, and winning for “Best Pop Song” at the Indie Songwriting Awards.

The first half of a two-part piece, Songbird: Part One depicts the process of recovering from the trauma of a traumatic experience. Singles “Curious” and “Rock This Way,” both released in June, are included on the EP.

The music, which was produced by Ricky Rodriguez of Morganton, NC’s Bombhouse Recordings, reflects Alvarado’s development as a songwriter and sounds very different from her prior work.

Alvarado explains that the motivation behind the project was the need for personal growth and development as an artist.

She received two “One to Watch” designations from the Nashville Songwriters Association in the springs of 2021 and 2022 for her outstanding songwriting. According to Indie Star Radio, she is the “Country Artist of the Year” for the year 2021. Her song “Curious” won the “Best Pop Song” award at the 2022 Winter Indie Songwriting Awards and was a Finalist for the “Best Pop Song” award at the 2022 Winter World Songwriting Awards.

Her single “Rock This Way” has been recognized as both the “Best Pop Song” and the “Best Overall Song” at the upcoming Indie Songwriting Awards in the Spring of 2022. She has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the International Singer Songwriter Association’s “Female Vocalist of the Year” award, the Josie Award for Female Music Video of the Year for “Filthy Water,” and the Carolina Music Award for Country Female Vocalist of the Year.
