Indie Rock Band Columbia Shares New Single “Glory People”

COLUMBIA is a duo consisting of Craig Lewis and Aron Stenning from the Cardiff area. This band has a leader, a rhythm guitarist, and a bassist/backing vocalist. Craig was born in Bridgend, South Wales, in 1983, and Sten was born in Pontypridd, North Wales, in 1988, respectively.

Even though they are based in Cardiff the band is from in and around the Welsh valleys. The band’s origins may be traced back to a charity day school when it was formed by the youngsters. As a result of their first performance, they began to sit and play Oasis songs throughout the rest of the concert.

Despite the fact that they just started creating songs in the latter stages of their career, they’ve managed to carve out a name for themselves in the music business by releasing quality original material ever since they were founded. The band did a show, and Chris was drumming for a band on the same bill, which is how they found him. He was drawn to their distinctive sound and began training with them before enlisting in the military.

Seven years later, when the band was in need of a bassist, Chris recommended Sten to the group. They all had the same aim in mind: to create music that people couldn’t stop listening to. Their first gig as an indie rock band was with a group named Morning Star. Since then, they’ve put out seven songs and performed at several notable events as a group. The goal is to produce original music that will endure long after the creators themselves have passed away. They’re not for fame, but rather a love for the craft.

I think we’re just looking for an opportunity to showcase our music. We’ve got the songs and sound that we all believe could really have an impact. We just need that platform.

Columbia has always been a band to watch influenced by 90s music superstars, the likes of Oasis, Liam & Noel (Gallagher), Richard Ashcroft, Duff McKagan (Guns n’ Roses), Chris Wolstenholme (Muse), Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age/Mondo Generator), and a few more!

Glory People is the band’s most recent single. It’s a song about optimism and making the most of what we have. I love playing this song live because it’s so large and anthemic. The recording is equally impressive. With Asha Jane’s backup vocals, it’s much better. There was a lot of inspiration on this record. Experiencing life, spending time with loved ones, and listening to other music are all examples of personal experiences.

Sten is a railway worker for Transport for Wales and Craig is a PE teacher. Craig plays football for a local club and takes piano lessons in his leisure time. Sten, on the other hand, is a PlayStation 4 player and a photographer.
