iHATEJON is a North Carolina-based alternative hip-hop musician who draws inspiration from artists such as J Cole, Mac Miller, Dominic Fike, and Lil Peep. He is from Shelby, North Carolina, which is a little town just outside of Charlotte. He is 23 years old and graduated from the University of South Carolina, where he met Columbia, SC native and producer/artist/friend Britton Rauscher.
About The Release “iGOTME”
In January 2021, iHATEJON penned and recorded this song in his bedroom through a breakup. He realised he was empty and incomplete without this individual in his life. He eventually learned that codependency is unhealthy and not the result of love. It is the result of a lack of self-love. iHATEJON still struggled with self-love, but listening to this song reminds him that he’s complete and motivates him to keep going. He said “I want this song to do that for others as well.”
