Grammy Nominated Star Saweetie Warns “Don’t Say Nothin’” On Her New Single

Diamonté Quiava Saweetie is the stage name of American rapper Valentin Harper, who goes by the name Saweetie.

Saweetie was only 14 years old when she realized that performing was her true calling and dreamt of a career in the entertainment industry.

She didn’t become an instant success until she shared footage of her freestyle “Icy Girl” over Khia’s “My Neck, My Back” from her vehicle on Instagram in 2016. At that time, she did the song while listening to Khia’s song while driving.

After the release of her first song, “Icy Grl,” in 2018, she was signed to the record company Artistry Worldwide, which is a part of Warner Records. Her then-manager Max Gousse was the one who got her the deal.

Or Nothin’s “Don’t Say Nothin'” is a brassy tune about fellas who can’t keep much to themselves and includes the following lyrics: “That’s what I get for kissin’ on these frogs/ He got upset and spilt my business to the blogosphere.”

Saweetie has had a succession of chart-topping hits, some of which include “My Type,” “Best Friend” with Doja Cat, platinum singles “Tap In” and “Icy Girl,” and “Back To The Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko.

Saweetie has also collaborated with Jhené Aiko on “Back To The Streets.” Saweetie is only going to level up even more with the release of her 2022 EP titled “The Single Life,” as well as her Pretty Bitch Music LP, which is scheduled for release in 2023.
