What’s your official stage name (showbiz name)?

What do you do (fashion, music, comedy, art, dancing, etc.)?

I remember being into music as early as 4 years old. I remember being able to sing like they could on the radio, and I didn’t know that everyone wasn’t able to do that. That said, I wasn’t serious about music until I was about 13 years old.

How did you get into what you do (music, modelling, art, dance, etc.)?

Honestly, it’s kind of a weird reason, but after watching the movie August Rush, something clicked for me. I knew I needed to pursue music. I don’t know why a movie has so much impact on me, but it did.

What field or genre are you into, and can you give a brief description of what your career/profession/field feels like?

I am primarily a Christian artist, but within that realm there are a lot of genres that can intertwine with the message of my music. I would classify most of what I do as pop or indie pop, with EDM, rock, and acoustic sprinkled across most projects.

Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?

Being a Christian, my faith defines who I am. I run after Christ. That is my main motivation for doing what I do. That said, there have been many influential artists that have chiselled their mark into my music. To list a few music styles influences: Dave Matthews, Chris Carrabba, Bon Iver, Mutemath, Muse, Kaleo, and others. For messaging & style influence I would say Upper Room has had a lasting impact on me.

What was your first project and the people you worked with, and which year?

This project, “Zealous”, is my debut album. I have some singles out previously and a small, acoustic driven EP that I produced in my dorm room in 2015. I took a break from my own music for a few years to develop my studio and production expertise. I worked on hundreds of other releases for artists all over the world. In 2021 I started my own music again.

How many projects do you have so far?

I have 1 solo album, 1 full length worship album (released under Revive Music), 5 singles, and multiple featured singles.

How long have you been doing what you do?

I’ve been in the professional music field since 2012.

What do you look out for in this line of business?

It is a must to follow all the current trends in music. Music is a reflection of culture and it speaks with the voice of the current and next generation. If you listen and learn closely, you can implement the right message in a way that is relevant to that sound.

Have you won any awards or been nominated for an award? Or, in short, any achievement? both in and out of your career path.

I have had the privilege of being a part of some amazing experiences in music. To list a couple: In 2020, I was the vocalist for a production that was nominated for a Ivor Novello award, and I appeared on the show “American Idol” in 2012.

What is this new release about?

This album is the result of many years of development. Though the project itself took about two years to complete, the ideas and attitude behind it has been developing throughout the course of my life. I have lived through a vast, dynamic range of experiences which have deepened my relationship with the Lord in ways that are reflected in these songs. I wanted to create a project that would launch forth a new pace and a new sound for me personally as well as this particular genre in music.

Who and how many people worked on it?

I had an incredible team on this project. I produced 7 of the songs, about 70% of the way. Logan Murphy (Familiar, Lockton) was the final producer and mixer for those 7. “Joy” was produced by Mitchell Sween (Terokien), who is an incredible melodic bass producer here in the US. Judah Earl also joined me on the composition for “In Awe.” Judah is an extraordinary producer in Kansas City whose work has been featured on multiple Netflix series as well as on other incredible projects by artists all over. He has also released his own projects that are absolutely stunning.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

I will continue releasing music in the near future. My sights are already set on writing for more solo projects as well as some incredible singles that are currently in the final stages of production and will most likely be released during the summer/fall.
