What is your real name?
What’s your official stage name (showbiz name)?
What do you do (fashion, music, comedy, art, dancing, etc.)?
songwriter, artist, influencer
How did you get into what you do (music, modelling, art, dance, etc.)?
I started songwriting for artists in 2018 and would record music for fun here and there. Seeing the process of how an artist made music inspired me, how songwriting was healing in what I was going through and saw how it helped others. Music was an inspiration of passing energies to an audience to feel good and feel like you could be there for them through the music. Pisceze came about as I’m super into astrology and I’m a Pisces-being highly intuitive and sensitive are traits of myself that I feel led me to the original music meant to touch my fans.
What field or genre are you into and give a brief description of what your career/profession/ field feels like?
I love every genre of music. To be honest, music, to me, is a feeling. My playlist consists of all kinds-I grew up listening to punk and rock and it inspired me to incorporate that into R & B and pop music.
Who or what inspires you or motivates you? And why?
Family and my team. I wouldn’t be here without them. To see my team, work as hard as me just motivates me to become a better version of myself every day. I always refer to Pisceze in a third-person perspective. I’m always like “Pisceze is our baby, watch her grow.” It’s almost like we’re in elementary school working on a school project to present to the class (world). We all have the same goals and same beliefs when it comes to the growth of Pisceze.
What was your first project and the people you worked with and in which year?
I’m actually working on my first big project with many talented creatives.
How long have you been doing what you do?
I’m going into my third year!
What do you look out for in this line of business?
To inspire people through my music, especially being of Asian descent.
Have you won any awards or been nominated for an award? Or in short, any achievement? both in and out of your career path.
Awards are to come! My biggest achievement would be the time I made a song called ‘Heartbreak’ with my producer, Kyleyoumadethat. I remember that at the beginning of the session I told him that I wanted to create a ‘timbaland’ type beat. A few weeks after the music video came out, Timbaland liked the song—it was a full circle moment for me. The power of manifestation is crazy!
What is this new release about?
Red Handed is based on my life story. If it wasn’t for my close friends, I wouldn’t have thought to write this because it was too personal for me. Long story short, what happened to me felt like a movie – I was in a relationship while he was secretly intimate with somebody else.
Who and how many people worked on it?
Team of super talented producers and my friend, Jon McCollin.
What can your previous and new audiences anticipate from you in the future?
A body of music! I’m working on really honing in on my sound and delivering a project that will really cement my artistry. Finding my balance between the R&B/Pop worlds, with what we have in the works, I believe my audience will really be able to attach themselves to me and see who I really am and what my music can really do for them. It’s and I’m excited to share it with ya’ll in the coming year.
