Freedom Fry is an American indie pop duo consisting of Parisian-born Marie Seyrat and California-bred Bruce Driscoll. The band is based in Los Angeles.
They initially met in April 2011 when Driscoll’s previous band, Blondfire, hired Seyrat as their stylist for a music video. Driscoll asked Seyrat if she would be interested in writing some songs with him after hearing her whispery voice.
Together, American Bruce Driscoll and Frenchwoman Marie Seyrat have built their own musical world around music. The couple has generated over 250 original and cover songs, as well as supporting video content.
It doesn’t matter if they’re singing about zombies in love or an emotional folk song, they have an obvious aptitude for melodic mastery and a catchy, timeless melody.
‘Strange For Love,’ the latest EP by Freedom Fry, was released. The sound of the title tune is a cross between Fleetwood Mac and Depeche Mode. Basically, it’s about being unable to fit into a normal relationship.
Atypical (Netflix), The Morning Show (Apple TV+), and The Flash (Apple TV+) all have Freedom Fry in their casts (CW).
