Diom is an American producer, writer, and performer who was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States.
Mohamed L. Diomande, more often referred to as Diom, is a multitalented person whose abilities are beyond that of most people’s brains. He is also known as Diom. He started rapping at a very early age, and he began by learning the lyrics to his favourite songs by M.A.M., which was the most popular Ivorian rap group at the time.
However, he didn’t start composing his own until he was a senior in high school in Atlanta, Georgia, which is where he was located at the time. First in French, and later in English; after that, he started composing music when fruity loops were available.
His music is a combination of hip hop and Afrobeat with traditional string instruments (you can thank Rob Dougan for that), yet he is a great admirer of Daft Punk, thus certain electronic dance music components may make occasional cameos in his music as well.
During our extended conversation with him, he shared further information about his music as well as his most recent album with us.
