Cush Wallace, whose actual name is Matt Wallace, is a West Coast Hip-Hop artist from Central Los Angeles who is introducing a new sound to the genre.
The recording artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has a lifelong passion for music, thanks in part to the influence of his father, an Atlantic Records A&R. He is also a classically-trained guitarist and cello.
He utilises his music to tell intimate stories about his interactions with women and his financial affairs, characterised by floating croons rap verses. Cush Wallace’s Afro-Latino background has often served as a source of inspiration for his music since his debut in 2013.
Aside from performing alongside Kendrick Lamar and E-40, Cush Wallace has also received backing from Beats By Dre, landed a position on Apple’s Hip Hop chart, and had his song included on Triller’s Top Trending Songs this year.
His ‘DRICO II’ EP is ‘Top Pick’, which has been well acclaimed by the rap community. So far, the budding sensation has shown his remarkable musical prowess and flexibility in both singing and rapping as well as his persistent passion for strings.
“Real Ones” is his newest single. The artist’s versatility is shown via the song’s captivating melody. Before the music comes to a close, he battles his way to the top lyrically.
