Cindy Zhang is a singer, songwriter, and composer living and working in the United States of America.
She began playing the violin at the age of 7 and subsequently became a member of the a cappella scene and developed a passion for jazz while learning with Grammy-winning producer Kamau Kenyanta.
In order to develop her abilities as a producer, she took on all parts of her artistic endeavours, from songwriting to music production. As a rising star, she was given the opportunity to perform for Sofar Sounds in the United States.
Her first album, ‘Voice Memos,’ was published less than a year after her first song, ‘Moon River,’ hit in Hong Kong. Fans from Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand were among those who found out about her album via it.
Cindy uses an RnB/neo-soul songwriting approach, inspired by the likes of Lianne La Havas, Tom Misch, and Mac Ayres, to chronicle her own experiences. Emotions that grab at the heartstrings are captured in her voice, which resonates bright and honest.
Two lovers in “Confession” recognise that their connection is poisonous and take extra precautions while giving their all to the other. LambC, a Korean-American producer, and Cindy Zhang, an Asian-American singer-songwriter, collaborate on a touching ballad in this beautiful duet.
