Bukhari Releases New Single Titled ‘Old Woes’
Bukhari is a hip hop musician from Yuma, Arizona who was born in Camden, New Jersey. His wrestling career began when he was 11 years old, watching pro wrestling and listening to John Cena rap in the ring and disrespecting his opponents. At that age, he was brutally picked on and isolated, so he rapped and composed songs to express himself.
Bukhari first began rapping in talent showcases, open mic nights, middle school dances, high school sports halftimes, and school productions. Despite being diagnosed with Asperger’s at the age of 16, he has always enjoyed singing and composing music in order to encourage others in similar situations. Underneath his outgoing demeanour lies a guy riddled with dysfunctions.
Bukhari began releasing songs when I was 14 years old. Growing up in Yuma was really uninteresting, and there wasn’t much of a music or theatre culture. After high school, he attended GCU and majored in theatre. Throughout his studies in theatre, he battled depression and mental health concerns. He utilises his sorrow to generate the best mood possible and to remind people to smile despite the nonsense.
“This song is about elevating from where you were before. It’s a fun pregame/party song where I eased off on the rapping and focused more on the one-liners. This track is full of Instagram-caption-worthy lines like “clean nails, skin, cut, that’s a hat trick”. It’s a mix with confident lines and a symbol of elevating your worth and being ahead of the competition.”- Bukhari
