British Duo Ferris & Sylvester Unleash A New Single ‘Superhuman’
Ferris & Sylvester, a British blues-rock combo, have released the grandiose title tune of their highly awaited first album, “Superhuman” The first taste of the album, which will be released in March 2022, is a rousing song that depicts the couple on the verge of a break-up.
The duo was described as “rage-ridden brilliance and ferocity,” and the international release of critically acclaimed EPs “Made In Streatham” and “I Should Be On A Train” saw the duo make their mark not only in the UK but also internationally, with live dates on both sides of the Atlantic. These early releases, which announced their arrival in no uncertain terms, became regulars on BBC Radio 1, 2, 4, and 6, amassed over 10 million Spotify streams, landed coveted sync slots across British TV, earned them a place in Rolling Stone’s “Top 10 Americana Acts You Need to Know,” and won them the Emerging Artist Award at the AMA UK Awards 2020.
They’re ready to embrace an even larger community with the publication of “Superhuman,” as they disclose more of their timeless songwriting in the form of their very first comprehensive body of work. The upcoming 12-track album, which was recorded in Seattle, USA with Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, The Strokes) and Cornwall, UK with Michael Rendall (Pink Floyd, Youth), contains ten previously unreleased songs and takes the listener on a journey through the duo’s world, where genres intertwine and emotions are stripped down to the core.
They became prolific live performers throughout their relatively brief pre-Covid career, earning their position as one of the most thrilling must-see live bands and clocking over a hundred concerts each year. Along with sold-out headline shows (including a double whammy at Omeara in London), Ferris & Sylvester have performed at festivals such as Glastonbury, SXSW, Isle of Wight, and Sziget, as well as supporting acts such as Mystery Jets, Robert Plant, George Ezra, Jade Bird, and James Morrison, winning over audiences and building a devoted fanbase.
In the midst of their UK headline tour, the couple’s next live destination is London’s Lafayette, which promises to be a triumphant homecoming. Following a series of sold-out gigs around the UK, including sold-out dates in Leeds and Brighton, they’ll treat the London crowd to teases from the new album, fan favourites from their past, and what’s expected to be an electrifying outing of their newly released song this Sunday (November 21st).
They’ve already performed “Superhuman” in front of dozens, hundreds, and thousands of people all around the world, and they say it’s “utterly scary and lovely to have this piece of us out there.” Stay tuned for more from the album from Ferris and Sylvester in the coming months.
The accompanying music video captures the frenzied anxiety, wrath, and hunger of “Superhuman,” doubling down on the track’s competitive element as Ferris and Sylvester go head to head, executing their back-and-forth banter as if their relationship depended on it.
