Appietus Blasts Sarkodie For Saying He Didn’t Make Any Money From “Azonto Fiesta”

MusicArenaGh.com reported an incident some two days ago concerning Sarkodie’s collaboration with Kesse on “Azonto Fiesta”.

In the past two days, the song which was originally released in 2012 has generated some buzz on social media.

It all started when Kesse revealed in an interview that he was paid Ghc20 for the feature.

The Sarkcess Music boss also came out to clear the air and according to him, he didn’t make a penny from the song.

Sarkodie also noted that the song wasn’t even his song, hence made no cash out of it.

As said by Sarkodie, he wasn’t sure Kesse mentioned his name. Besides, it isn’t his song, hence, made no money from it.

In a tweet, he said, “I’m not sure he mentioned my name bro … that ain’t my song and I didn’t make a penny off that either… call the owner … shouts to the brother Kesse”

The producer and owner of the song, Appietus has said that Sarkodie lied when he said he made no money from the song.

Justifying this, he indicated that Sarkodie performed the song on stages and also kept the money to himself.

Speaking to Prince Tsegah on Hitz FM he said,  “Sarkodie made money from the song. Sarkodie performed this particular song on many stages, and every stage they paid him before he performed,

and once he always went on stage and performed this song, that’s money he was also making from the song, and so he shouldn’t come out and be saying he didn’t make a penny off the song.”

Appietus added that Sarkodie was smart enough to have performed the song, unlike Kesse. Besides, he never questioned him on that.

The legendary producer also disclosed that he went into a deal with Sarkodie.

They agreed Sarkodie will do one song for him, and he will do two songs for him.
