Sam Katz is an American singer, songwriter, music producer, and composer who hails from Irvine, California. He is best known by many as the stage name 7ensei.
7ensei is a classically trained pianist who has been performing for 15 years. Over the course of his career, 7ensei has expanded his musical horizons to include jazz piano and, most recently, production.
Producing indie music, pop, and electronic pop is one of his greatest passions. When Her creates in these genres, he gets the sense that he can turn his thoughts into melodies and give his songs a certain atmosphere or vibe via the music that he makes.
7ensei’s goal with his production and music has always been to convey positive sensations and emotions to listeners, much like Pharrell and some of 7ensei’s other favourite musicians and producers, including Calvin Harris, Marshmello, Travis Scott, and Dua Lipa.
The fact that each of these musicians has a sound or style that is distinctive serves as a source of motivation for him.
The lyrics of his most recent and highly-anticipated song, which is titled “Dance Floor,” are intended to evoke the passionate and exhilarating emotions associated with love and the season of summer.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, playing basketball, and hanging out at the beach. He also produces music and writes songs.
